The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office identified the individual as 63-year-old Johnny Ray Anthony. The incident occurred on October 2 at approximately 7 p.m. along Broadway Avenue, near Theo Street. According to officials, Anthony was struck by an SUV while in the area. Emergency crews responded quickly, but sadly, he did not survive his injuries. He was officially pronounced deceased at 7:19 p.m. at the scene. The Shreveport Police Department has taken the lead in the investigation.
